		<description>Here&#039;s what I did when I purchased my vehicle out of state from a private party.  I lived in CA and bought my car in NC.  I went to the DMV and got a temporary registration (good for 1 week).  I went and bought the vehicle and drove it back to CA and went and registered it back in CA to make it legal there.

As for insurance you can get it insured pending the registration before you purchase the vehicle.</description>
