My wife is considered high risk. I drive both our vehicles more then she does. Can I be listed as the primary driver on both vehicles through two different insurance companies? Fraud? If she does get into an accident, what will happen with our claim?
Thanks!!!

Sure, you can be listed as the primary driver, but your wife will still have to be a named driver in order to insure coverage.

YOU WIFE WILL STILL HAVE TO BE A NAMED DRIVER FOR YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY TO COVER YOU.

first, why would you have 2 policies? it really doesn’t matter if she doesn’t drive as much as you. the companies are going to rate the highest risk driver, thats her.

Sure, but it’s not going to help you. The insurance company will use the highest rated driver on the vehicle – meaning, you’ll be paying her high risk charges TWICE – once on each policy. Remember, you don’t get to pick which driver gets charged to a car, if you only have one car – it’s ALWAYS highest rated driver to highest rated car, etc.
You’re better off putting both vehicles on one policy, so you only get dinged once for her driving record.
