I’ve bought insurance to put me on parents car which was £800 for a year, If I buy a car for myself in 6 months can I transfer the insurance to the new car?

u don’t transfer ins. you buy it. most ins. comp. allow for family to be under one policy,your age may be a factor depends on the POLICY. don’t waist your time trying to read it call your agent or # on ins. card.That is the only way to know the exact answer-!!!!get rental car coverage!!!!! its cheap

Yes you can. Ask your insurer though as they’ll have an administration fee.
