Can someone please give me advise, i am 18 and a guy, i need a company that will insure for a reasonable price, like £1800 a year at most for my age.

I would really like a citroen saxo but i want the look of the vtr, but its a 1.4 at smallest and i hate the look of the basic model. Can you get a 1.1 or 1.2 saxo with look of vtr/vti?

Plus, could you provide a list of cars good on insurance for my age and companies that give good quotes online.

*NOTE* Not confused.com they suck (:

P.S do you need to notify insurance companies if you put a set of speakers in your car? like does it count as a modification towards the price?

Thank you.

I am an auto insurance adjuster that deals primarily with vehicle theft and stereo theft. So to answer your question, yes you need to purchase additional insurance for any aftermarket speakers or modifications that you make to your vehicle. Insurance policies only covers OEM (Original Equipment from the Manufacturer) equipment.

The reason is because you present a higher risk for your vehicle to be broken into. Your insurance will already be out the roof since your 18. Good god…if your paying 1800 pounds, thats almost $3500 here which is absolutely insane.

    want some real advise???

right first off.. dont buy a saxo, 106, corsa, nova or anything else that “boy racers” have. even if your not a boy racer the insurance company will class you as one.

save some money on your insurance and put it towards a different car.

bigger cars eg: 5 doors will be cheaper so long as they aint m3′s etc.
newer big cars are alot safer and better to drive than boncey olds saxos and in alot of cases just as quick.

you may think im some old git but im only 26! i had a 211bhp crx v-tec at 17 and a 321bhp bmw M3 evo at 19! and never paid over 800 quid…..

ive now go a e46 325i and it great!

thats an idea.. you can get a e46 bmw about a w reg 318 for lets than two grand. 150bhp plus its a BMW. i bet that would be less than a saxo. have a look on ebay there’s loads.

    anyway good luck

Speakers will increase the price of your insurance as it will count as a modification, for cheap insurance i would recommend comparison websites, try http://theycompare.co.uk , http://moneysupermarket.com , http://comparethemarket.com
