Does comprehensive car insurance cover mechanical damage such as the gearbox or engine? There is no physical damage to the engine itself, but will it cover damages to the engine after the body is repaired? I have noticed major engine problems (acceleration lags, just don’t drive right) after i got the car back with fixed body.
Please help!

If the engine damage was done as the result of an accident, whatever insurance paid to fix the body has to pay to fix the engine and/or gearbox or whatever else is wrong as a result of the accident. It’s all the same
