i am planning on getting either a double cab tacoma or a nissan altima coupe, but i worried about the insurance cost. Which wouold be a better deal for the long run. I’m am fortunate that my parents are helping me pay for the car but i have to buy insurance. I’m a college student, 19, barley starting my credit score.

The only way to know is to get quotes for each vehicle. If I were you though I would get the Tacoma, much more reliable and they hold their value more than the Altima does. If you decide on a car maybe get a Civc or a Corolla instead.

Both of these vehicles are pretty good on auto insurance cost. I would think that the Nissan would be a little bit better on insurance and gas. However, the truck may be better for other things such as towing, moving, work and etc. You may consider getting quotes from the resource on both vehicles below. Get estimates and compare what the rate differences may be on both it only takes a few minutes.

The best thing would be to get online quotes on both vehciles. Since you are a student most companies will offer you some sort of student discount.

I have a friend named Anthony who is a licensed insurance agent that works at an insurance company that can help give you good advice. If you call or email him he can look up the cost between both and then you can make your purchase based on what you find out. I’ll let him know that you may be contacting him abd you can get the phone number or email from the company’s website.
