We wanted to find a list (if one exists) of average insurance rates to see which cars cost the least to insure. This way she’ll know which cars she can afford. Thank You.

Just call your insurance agent. They have a list on their computer, and most of them would know off the top of their head. Each car is different based on features and mainly based on the driver. With a good record, you could insure a Corvette for the same price as someone else with a Honda. You won’t find a good answer without shopping around for insurance companies first. (Don’t let everyone of them run your credit either. It will cost you in the long run.)

I have seen such a list. I believe I saw it in the newspaper some time ago. I bet if you google something like : Insurance rates by vehicle, you will find it. Start here: http://moneycentral.msn.com/insure/autorisk.aspx

Perhaps it is best to do some homework of your confusing field before accepting others’s suggestion. Here http://www.AutoInsuranceIdeas.info/auto-insurance-free.htm is a great start point.

There might be a list but I am not sure. It’s pretty hard to give an accurate dollar amount without knowing a bit more about you and your daughter. A major factor is where you live. Insurance rates can vary drastically from state to state or even from zip code to zip code.
Here is some more detailed info about it -

Good luck.
