How can anyone say they are FORCED to buy car insurance, when it is cumpulsory in each state, only to be revealed at the time of infraction or accident?
Why am I FORCED to buy uninsured motorist coverage?

Gestapo on the state level or it could be that without car insurance other people get hurt but without health insurance you hurt your self the most.~

If you don’t drive a car, you aren’t forced to buy car insurance.

No. The Federal government couldn’t care less if you have car insurance or not..

You have a choice not to drive a car…

If you get sick however,…you have little choice but to go see a doctor…or even better…check yourself into the emergency room.

Every time someone goes to the ER, and doesn’t pay the bill…..everyone pays for that.

This same argument WAS made, when states began mandates concerning car insurance. The reason they mandated it…is because only the rich were buying car insurance, because only they could afford it, it was considered a luxury…like “life insurance”. Nobody else on the road was insured…so when accidents occurred, the damages were resolved in court proceedings rather than insurance settlements. So let’s say you were hit by some big truck…driver didnt’ have insurance….you sue, you win…but the driver didn’t have any money either. You got nothing.

Car insurance is not to protect you, it is to protect others.

    1. I don’t believe it is a federal law that you must buy car insurance. It is required by states.

    2. The only car insurance people are required to have is insurance for paying for damage they do to OTHERS’ property and health, not their own car or health. No one is required to insure their own car or health with care insurance.

    3. You have the choice not to drive. You don’t really have a choice to live.

3 reasons why the comparison to car insurance is absurd….
