those esurance ads are really getting on my nerves. some cartoon chick fights ninjas, robots etc. and we should buy insurance from that? if, by chance, you signed up for that, why?

Who do you think they are trying to appeal to? The 40 year old with a wife and 2.5 kids? No no, these ads are a desperate attempt to sucker in that new driver that grew up on toons. Many of these “cheap” insurance companies try clever ads to attract the inexperienced, such as Safe Auto.

It’s kind of like those NetZero commercials, “All internet providers take you to the same internet, so why pay more to get there?” That’s like saying, “All cars take you from A to B, so why buy a nice car?”

    Bugs me too!

For car insurance the quick way to get a good rate is do a policy comparison on car policies. Make sure that you choose similar policies with the same deductibles, car type, zip code, etc so that all things are a good comparison.

What I always recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have big name insurers and will give several quotes on car insurance polices.

i feel the same way about the commercials. annoying.

I almost purchased esurance when I moved to new jersey because my insurance doubled by moving here. They were the cheapest I could find. I did some research first and found a lot of disgruntled esurance customers. so I stayed with state farm, and it only ended up costing me 10 bucks more every 6 months, which is awesome.

the thing that bugs me about the company is they only have a phone number. there’s not an office i can go to and get answers. I think the little extra money is well worth that luxury.
