i bought my 05 with 35K 9 months ago for 21,800 it now has 60K, my insurance has gone up and i want to save some money but still have a truck. would it be wise to trade it in for an older truck? would i lose muck off trade in

it all depends on the “trade-in” value of the vehicle. All dealerships will be different too. You’d get more selling it yourself but that can sometimes take awhile.

Just sell your current truck(advertise in your local classifieds and trading post) and then pay it off if you have not then you have the opportunity to get the truck of your liken rather it be from a dealer or a private party… I dont recommend trading they will just end up making you made!

sell it privately . you will get closer to the blue book value that way. the dealer will rape you on the trade in value i paid 45k for my 05 tried to trade it in next year on newer model they only offered me bottom price of 29k i sold it in newspaper for 38k this year and was 2 years old not one year old when i wanted to trade.

Your insurance rates are based mainly on your driving record (tickets, and accidents). I wouldn’t do it unless you just really want the other pickup. It’s probably not going to lower your insurance rates for the same coverage.
