I have been noticing the insurance company’s lobbing the politicians for years to put power into their hands to make a profit at the expense of the people! Young drivers who have no accidents for the first year shouldn’t have to pay overwhelming prices because their young and after their first years driving experience it should lower! That’s the way it should be, butt no! If you lose your job and your insurance lapses, then you have to carry high risk insurance for what, three years I think? This is all heavy handed policy making on behalf of the insurance company’s by the law makers and it shouldn’t be so! The wind blows hard and takes the roof off of your house and just because its not a tornado the insurance company’s doesn’t have to pay because its an act of god? OK, what god are they talking about? The United States Government shall not make no laws favoring one religion over the other! Its time the people stop this outlandish act of government passing laws in favor of the insurance company’s in an effort to make profits! Our government is out of control and we the people need to act on this! Don’t you think?
I’m ready to remove the question for the reason that the respondents seem to not know what is truth in what their talking about! For one, the universal health care the government is trying to pass is that if your company carry’s health care, you are forced to carry it with a little added in the payment to cover the ones uninsured! Hog wash! And as for the god thing by Andrew, the statement was from the Constitution I printed and not my personal feelings! They call it being informed and educated!

Universal health care is the solution. Profits have to be removed from the equation. We can’t have pharma and insurance companies making the decisions on something when profit should not be the motivating factor! Health care should not be for-profit. As someone else observed, that does not mean we need non-profit health insurance corporations: it means we need to eliminate insurance from the system entirely..

Although this was more like a rant than a question- I am with you. I, as a business owner have battling with the insurance companies for years. They are WAAAAAY strong handed, choosy, capricious and act on whims…GOD HELP US !!!
I have seen them single handedly smite quite a few businesses.
The POOOR seniors or Ill in our country. Pharmaceuticals have just increased 60% HOW MANY WILL DIE…This is REAL !!!
Premiums on any type insurance are calculated by their guess work ! You just put up and shut up because they will cancel you on a whim, no matter how long you have been faithful to them ….(faithful, another term which has no place in our country anymore, be faithful and you pay for that too! You better shop around because they will sneak your premiums up &up on You !)
Credit score in the toilet because you have suddenly lost your job or divorced at middle age, tough luck-your premium will sky rocket or will be CANCELLED
They will say it is because of lawsuits out of hand, but they control that too !!!
I agree with you about some of the answers you get here, some people just don’t have as much experience in life as they think they do I have gotten some shallow answers to deep problems here too, so do not be discouraged, Friend.
BUT, THINGS ARE OUT OF CONTROL AND PEOPLE EAT IT AND LIKE IT…I CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHY !…Tell Me what serious thing you would like to do about it and I will take a stand with you…
