In Oregon/SW Washington, is it legal to offer discounts (many companies call it deductible assistance). If so, what rules are there governing the wording and practice of this. Are there laws about the amount, or the requirements to give the assistance.

Thanks in advance

What exactly do you mean by “discounts on the deductibles”? It’s normal that a higher deductible means a lower insurance premium.

Burying the deductible is illegal. Rebating the deductible, or part of it, (the insurance company or agent) is also illegal.

Deductible assistance is very possibly illegal, depending on EXACTLY what it is, who is offering it, and how it works – because most of the time, it’s either burying the deductible, or rebating.
