If you house burns down is it too late to get home owners insurance?
How are the insurance companies going to handle providing insurance to people with pre existing conditions if they are forced to?
Please read the question before you answer. What insurance company would pay for your ALREADY totaled out car if you were not a customer at the time of the wreck?

Of you can still get house and car insurance….you just have to pay more for it…
Home owners and auto insurance are both law in my state. It’s illegal to go without them.

The companies wouldn’t have to pay for PAST MEDICAL BILLS.
That’s not part of the plan.
They would have to give coverage to people for FUTURE MEDICAL BILLS, which arise from conditions that they already have.
Get it?
This is not rocket science, bubby.

Sorry, but your argument falls apart. Firstly, I do not agree with the government regulating health care in the way they plan to, nor do I support universal health care.
But the problem with your argument is that a car and a house are two things that are not living. A human is a living being. If a person changes jobs and gets new insurance, or is self employed, etc. and they have cancer they should not be branded as uninsurable simply because they have cancer. They need treatment to live and cannot afford the treatments without some sort of supplements. An insurance company shouldn’t be able to turn someone away because of pre-existing conditions.

It’s illegal to go without car insurance and has been for years.

We all are going to die someday. That is a pre-existing condition, with out a doubt. Your stance is weak.

Tough. It’s a sore point politicians will play to the hilt too get support & votes.

All car insurance companies do is raise your rates or discontinue your business.* The only reason insurance companies use pre existing conditions is to deny you a policy, their outrageous profits might be affected.*
