My car was hit while parked:

i knew who did it ,the person admitted to his boss, and i actually witnessed the crash when it happened.

i got in contact with the people who hit the car they said they go get estimates we will get it fixed with out the insurance company!(okay fine) i get estimates they say its too expensive they dont have thata kind of money ,so they tell me they will go through there insurance ,so they file the claim this past friday.

they did not give me the claim number but i was able to call and get it from there ins company.

anyhow there insureance agent leaves a message on my voicemail that they filed the claim and that an adjustor would be in contact with me some time this week. Today is tuesday allready 2 business days went by and i have not heard from this adjustor (i know its only tuesday but you understand how i would feel your car was damaged almost a month ago ,the weather is nice out and you just want to get the repairs done)

i even got the adjusters info by calling the ins co and left him a voicemail but still he did not call me back the receptionist says he was on the phone.

should i just wait to they call me say in a few days or so maybe i am freaking out and getting impatient or is this a classic case of some insurance company giving me the around and should i file this claim in court so i can have my vehicle fixed?

I had a car run into my house in 2006 and opened up an insurance claim to help cover the damage. I received only a portion of my insurance deductible back – does anyone know if I can deduct the portion that I paid out of pocket on my tax returns? There was a section in Turbotax that covered accidents and expenses incurred, but I wasn’t sure if the deductible was included? thx.
