My brother-in-law has hit a few animals and he said that the insurance company considers them an act of God so he never had to pay deductibles, is this true?
The deer ran into the side of my truck. It’s the 3rd time I hit a deer this year. My job wants me to pay 1/2 the deductable. I can’t imagine that’s right. Any advice?
we’re shopping for insurance and we usually have a $500 deductible for collision and a $0 for comprehensive which our agent said was things like hail damage or hitting a deer. he mentioned we could raise the collision to $1,000 and save money but advised us against it.
our car would bring $7000 if we sold it and a $3000 could replace it for us. we have over a $1,000 in the bank so we could pay the deductible if we had to. the only incident we’ve had in the last 5 years is my husband hit a deer and caused damage to the car. we plan to sell the car this summer and pay off the loan and use the equity we will get out of it to buy a replacement car
