My car was rear ended 2 weeks back and the other guys insurance company notified me yesterday that it will be totalled. They will cut me the check for kbb value of my car and will provide a rental car for just another week. I feel that is too less to find a new car and they should atleast extend the rental by one more week. is there any way i can contest this? are there any law requiring them to cover rental for more than 1 week in these situations?
I wrecked my 02 Saturn SL1 last monday, Insurance company should be sending the appraiser in Monday, everything is on my parents insurance right now, They are giving me the classic its going to be a while, 6-9 months before we get a check and even then we might now replace your car with the money. I commute to college and have an unpredictable job at my college paper. I’m scared and need this money and need to get a new car. I feel naked without it.
My parents are just playing games with me and taking the money from my car for themselves and making me struggle i guess.
