They have a cute lizard.

But I buy my insurance from an AGENT, who has an interest in keeping me happy, so he can keep getting my money. A big direct writer like Geico doesn’t care if mb gets upset & leaves, but my little town agent does.

I’ve looked into Geico several times. Once they didn’t want to insure the kind of car I had (Jeep Wrangler) and the other two times they were more expensive than other companies. I’ve used AMICA which was great and now I’m using Esurance, also great.

That little lizard is cute though.

It is a good idea to shop around for insurance rates. Depending on many factors, your rates can vary by several hundred dollars from one companie to the next. Younger folks who are currently covered on their parent’s policy usually will find that the company that they are covered under now will be a lot cheaper than most others.

Younger drivers are considered a higher risk. If you are covered under a policy with the company now, they already have that risk. The are more likely to continue to cover you. Another company, that really would rather not have the risk, will price the coverage higher, in the hope that you go elsewhere.

Geico is not a bad company. They do provide rather quick response on claims, and have 24/7 customer service.
