I was in an accident but no one was hurt. I am thinking of getting this car but want to have an idea how much my insurance is going to be. I live in California.

The DUI should be off the books as far as rating or extra charges go if it’s more than 3-5 years old, but could still affect underwriting. If it’s newer than that, you’ll be shocked by the premium. You have to call an agent/company or get quotes online to find out.

A lot of insurance companies has now covered policies for those cars. So try to look your insurance policy and contact your agent to discuss this matter.
