If you try to finagle your way out of paying extra insurance, it will not work. If you fail to inform them of any incidents, and later they find out, they'll cancel the insurance and you'll have to get high-risk insurance elsewhere. Since the tickets were in another state, they will be transferred with your driving record to the new state, since they are recorded on the license.
