You are not forced to buy car insurance if you don’t have a car. You have the right to not own a car. So why can’t we have the right to not have health insurance??

Good point.

We can and do; NO ONE has said that you MUST have health insurance.
The point of “ObamaCare” was that, if people couldn’t afford health insurance through the private sector, they COULD through the government.
Edit: Giachetta pointed something out to me via private message, and I agree with her on it – if people choose NOT to have health care, they should NOT be fined for making said choice. That, I think, is just folly.

The only way to pay for it is to mandate that all people pay for it. Even if you chose not to pay you get fined. The current house bill allows the IRS to directly take money from your bank and checking accounts.

If you have a right to not have health insurance, then does the doctor also have a right to not start your heart if you can’t pay for it?

I know. That always pisses me off when I say I don’t have insurance and people are like “I bet your state mandates car insurance.” Damn wealth redistributing losers that want me to pay for their shit. By the way people, I’ve paid all my health costs in my life without insurance because I have the money. I’m not about to pay for you too.

A car in a hunk of metal — A human being is a living thing.
You argument is so flawed it’s ridiculous.
You are not forced to buy car insurance if you don’t have a car?
So, you can give up possession of your body?
Not everyone has a car – but we all have bodies.
