im 17 and i got pulled over for using my cellphone. i got no points on my license and no court date. but i have to pay the ticket. i obviously have money to pay it but will that ticket be recorded on my license or my car insurance. if my dad found out he’d kill me and he pays for my car and insurance.

it probably will go on the record, but it won’t increase your rates. go to the dmv and get the latest report of your drivers license record… you have to wait for the ticket to appear on your record for atleast 6 weeks. so i’d say wait for 6 weeks and get a recent copy of your drivingn record.. if it shows there, it will show on your insurance too. but the rates will NOT go up…

    No, it’s a non-moving violation.

You can compare how the insurance quotes would change, for example here – autoinsurance.noneto.com
